How To Create A Winning Facebook Ad Campaign

Transcript

All right, so "I'm overwhelmed, I'm confused, and I don't know where to start." Those are the three top responses that I get for people who are entering the Facebook group that I stared online to help financial advisers build funnels. As you can imagine for a lot of people using online media or using digital media can be a difficult thing to get started with. I started this group to essentially help financial advisers, coaches, and consultants build online funnels without being just completely overwhelmed.

Whenever somebody clicks to join a group, I have a question that pops up and I ask them, what is their biggest problem? And those are the three top responses that I get. This led me to want to record this quick video today, to hopefully shed some light on a couple things that will reduce a lot of the overwhelm.

One big thing is, most people think that in order to get started they're looking at all of the technical aspects that go along with building our funnel. There's ClickFunnels, there's WordPress, there's Leadpages, there's Infusionsoft, there's ActiveCampaign. Then when you throw in Facebook ads then everybody just gets completely discombobulated and they're like, "Hey, what do I do? Where do I start?"

Today I'm going to give you a couple tips on how you can actually get started. Now, one of the best things that you can do or one of the very first things that you should do is figure out your messaging. Right? With anything that you're going to do online it's not going to be the technical aspect that's going to allow you to get the results that you want to get. It's not going to be ClickFunnels versus WordPress or versus Leadpages or Infusionsoft versus ActiveCampaign or MailChimp or any of these other services. The people you're trying to reach, they're concerned about your message.

They're not concerned about the tool that it is that you are using to actually reach them. Here's a quick and easy way that you can go about trying to find out what people actually really want.

I want you to think about your service or your produce right now, and then I want you take out a sheet of paper write down the top 10 problems that your product or your service actual solves. Once you write down those 10 problems that your product or your service solves, I want you to go to Google and I want you to Google those problems. Now, here's what's going to happen, obviously you're going to get a list of results that are going to show up.

You're going to see some ads at the top of the page and you're going to see some organic results below the ads. I want you to pay close attention to the organic results and I want you to really pay close attention to the headlines that are used for these particular articles. The reason why I say this is because if those articles or those blog posts or whatever the case may be are in position one, two, three, or four that means that those are the most popular topics as it relates to that particular problem.

So, if people are clicking on those and Google is rewarding those people who wrote those blog posts with a top spot, then that means that that particular topic is probably high on the list of the things that people are most likely interested in.
What does this mean for you? Essentially this that you don't have to try to think of what it is that I'm going to create to put online as a lead magnet for example. You can take a look at some of the top five responses that you Google for each problem that you have, and that's going to give you a good idea as to what it is that you should be offering people.

Right? The biggest thing that you do in your business is, you are a problem solver. If you are not talking about solving a problem with your particular product or your service, you're not going to get the results that you want to get with using any type of funnel. It won't matter if you're using ClickFunnels, Leadpages, or whatever. If you're not solving a problem, you're not going to get any kind of results.

Now that you know where you can go to figure out what it is that people are looking for, in regards to the problems that they have, the next step is to really take this information, rewrite it in your own words so that you're not stealing from somebody else, or at least credit or source the material, so you can give credit to the proper people.

And you want to create you own little mini guide, cheat sheet, or whatever the case may be. You don't need to make it something that's super big because a lot of people aren't just going to read through a bunch of material all the time. And plus this is going to save you a lot of time anyway because you're in the testing phase.

You want to test out and see what's actually going to work. Once you take a look at these solutions that are already out there, rewrite it in your own words, put it in a little simple guide. You can go to a website called Canva.com, for example, and you can easily create a little mini PDF that's designed to look nice, and then I want you to go to Facebook.

All right, so here's the thing now, don't start to get overwhelmed on me right now. I'm going to show you a really quick and easy way that you can launch a Facebook ad today, in about 30 minutes and you can start to test this thing out and see if it's going to work for you. All right, so what I want you to do is got to your Facebook. Go to your Ads Manager.

If you don't know what Ads Manager is, Google it. I can't really cover all that in this particular video. But you want to create an ad account or a business manager account, preferably business manager. But once you get your ad account set up, here's what I want you to do. I want you to go in a pick the lead generation objective. The lead generation objective in Facebook will allow you to easily create a ad that's going to house all of the information that you need in order to get a lead.

Whether or not you want to get a name, email, or name, email, and phone number, or name, email, and address. Whatever it is that you're looking for, you can do all of this on Facebook and you don't need any other third party tool such as ClickFunnels, et cetera, et cetera.

Go pick the lead generation objective. Go in, select your targeting, right? Think about again what problem are you solving? Who is your ideal client? Kind of think about what it is that these people are interested in. For example, if you're a financial adviser, then your ideal client is likely interested in retirement stuff. A easy interest to pick would be your geographic area.

I'm in Dallas, so I would pick maybe a 20 mile radius in Dallas. I would also pick the age of the people it is that I want to target. If I'm targeting people who are 55 and plus, 55 years old and up then I would choose that. Choose male, female, whatever it is that you're looking for.

You want to indicate how much money you want to spend. All right, so this is a test. Now me, I like to test quickly so I can get results back really fast. Maybe you want to spend maybe $10 a day. If you can spend more, hey do that. Choose your budget and then the next thing I want you to do is, when you get to the next page when you go to create your ad, this is where you're going to use a picture of whatever it is that you're giving away.

This is one of the best things that you can do in regards to the image for your particular ad. Show them exactly what it is that they're going to get. Now obviously you can use some stock photos and things of that nature. Those things do work but I've found the best success with actually showing people what it is that you're going to give away.

You can take your little mini guide or whatever you that you created in Canva, and you actually use that as a part of your image. And you want to write a little bit of copy. Some really simple, easy copy to write would be, "Hey are you experiencing this particular problem? If so, here's a guide that addresses this problem. Click this button to download it."

Super easy. You don't have to write anything like super fancy. You don't need to be a copywriter. Again, we're all just testing this out first to see if it's going to work. Then next you want to create your actual lead form. Now, you can Google how to create this lead form but it's super easy as well.

There's just a few button clicks. Facebook will create the form for you. What's going to happen is, Facebook is going to allow you to pre-populate the name, email, and phone number of whoever that clicks on that particular ad. Like they don't even have to do anything. It's super easy. They don't need to leave Facebook or whatever. You create your lead form, once you're all done with that, you want to publish your actual ad. Right?

Facebook is going to review it. They are going to make sure that you're all compliant, et cetera, et cetera. Your ad is actually going to run. Once your ad starts to run, you want to start to pay attention and look and see whether or not people are clicking on your ad. Obviously whether or not they are actually opting in for your particular ad or your particular offer as well. But this is the quickest way that you can go about testing out an idea, on whether or not what it is that you are offering is actually going to work.

Now, you want to let this run for about, I would say three to five days. It's really going to depend upon how much money that you're spending. If you're spending a lot of money, you can test it probably within two days or so, maybe three. If you're spending a little less money then you want to let it run longer because you want to get it in front of at least 1000 people before you say, "Hey this thing is working or it's not working." But at the end of the day, the first thing ... the whole point of this is that you actually need to get started and the only way that you're going to get started is by taking action.

Those are my tips for today on how you can reduce a lot of the overwhelm and confusion about how you can get started with Facebook ads to actually see if this whole thing is going to work for you. That's it for this particular video of the day. If you found this information helpful please share it with anybody. I'll also leave a link in the first comment under this video to my group.
